That ‘02 game I’m very surprised I didn’t put in my deal. Of the 80 or so games I’ve seen in that building it’s in the top 5 most memorable. But I guess not as I didn’t reference it.

I was there with my at the time mentor but we became good friends due to UT. I think in the 3rd OT we fumbled or something and didn’t score. All they needed was an easily makeable FG to win.
I turned to Will, “We are going to be 0-2 in the fucking conference”.
That at the time was unthinkable. As we know now, that was the least of what was to come.
Yeah as I remember the game was fairly boring until it got to OT. It was good to win it but it definitely a bad sign of what was to come. An 8-5 season at that time just felt like complete failure. I think that was the year I realized Randy Sanders wasn’t going to get it done.
